On February 17, 2018, Christians from The Church of Almighty God in Spain hosted an evening gathering in Madrid’s Fuenlabrada with the theme of “We gather together here.” The purpose of the event was for friends of different nationalities to gain a greater understanding of The Church of Almighty God and to promote friendship between these groups. Unlike the events held the previous two years, that evening over a dozen international friends were invited, including: Cynthia, a representative from the Todo Mejorar Foundation; Elahi, chairman of Valientes Banglas; Manuel, chairman of the European Citizens’ Anti-Corruption Association; Sagrario, manager of the San Lorenzo Center. It was a joyful gathering in celebration of the lunar new year.

The Church of Almighty God Attracts Much Attention at Turin Interfaith Music Festival

On May 10, 2018, FAITHS IN TUNE Interfaith Music Festival got off to a great start at the Royal Club in Turin, Italy. The music festival lasted for five days and was co-sponsored by the German founding organization of FAITHS IN TUNE, COEXIST Music & Events e.Kfr, along with the Center for Studies on New Religions (CESNUR), the Osservatorio sul Pluralismo Religioso of Turin, the International Observatory of Religious Liberty of Refugees (ORLIR) and the Turin International Book Fair. FAITHS IN TUNE aims to provide a platform for people of different cultural and faith backgrounds to share their own music and to engage in mutual exchange.

On January 20 in Rho, Italy, when the 2018 World Immigrant and Refugee Day was just over, led by the mayors of various cities in Milan, more than 100 people holding peace symbolizing torches took to the streets and called for the public to pay attention to world peace, embrace and help with love immigrants and refugees that come to Italy, in order to create a peaceful society together. On the theme of “Peace Day Torchlight Parade,” the event was jointly organized by Rho government and eleven associations, including ACLI, Società San Vincenzo de Paoli, and Multiculturale Oasi. Christians of The Church of Almighty God Will Be Brutally Persecuted by the CCP Once Repatriated

On January 4, 2018, according to the U.S. State Department, pursuant to the 1998 International Religious Freedom Act, China is re-designated as a “Country of Particular Concern.” This is also the nineteenth consecutive year that China is included in the “Country of Particular Concern” list. At the same time, when the freedom of religious belief in China draws great attention of the U.S. government, the asylum applications of many Christians of The Church of Almighty God who had been persecuted by the CCP, and who had fled abroad to South Korea and European countries, are denied again and again. These governments even issued orders for their deportation and had their Alien Registration Cards withdrawn. Once repatriated to China, these Christians are bound to face the CCP's arrest, torture and imprisonment, even the danger of death. Their situations are critical!
